Welcome to Sabari Matrimony. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Maangalyam mobile application and all related services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by Sabari Matrimony ("we", "our", or "us"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform
• You must be legally eligible to marry under the laws applicable to you
• You must be a resident of India or a Non-Resident Indian (NRI)
• You must not be already registered on the Platform under a different account
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating your profile
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must promptly notify us of any unauthorised access to your account
• One person may hold only one account on the Platform
• Profiles created on behalf of another person (e.g., by a parent or guardian) must be disclosed as such
• We reserve the right to verify your identity and the accuracy of your profile information at any time

3. Profile Content Standards

You agree that your profile and all content you submit to the Platform will:

• Be truthful, accurate, and not misleading in any way
• Be your own genuine matrimonial profile (not a representative/agent profile without disclosure)
• Not contain offensive, obscene, defamatory, or inappropriate content
• Not include contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles) in public profile fields other than designated contact sections
• Use photos that are recent, clearly show your face, and are of you alone (group photos as primary profile picture are not permitted)
• Not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights

4. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Platform to:

• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, education, or employment
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate other members
• Solicit money, gifts, or financial assistance from other members
• Advertise products, services, or businesses
• Post or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Scrape, extract, or harvest data from the Platform through automated means
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems
• Share another member's personal information with third parties without their consent
• Create fake or fraudulent profiles
• Use the Platform for any purpose other than genuine matrimonial matching

5. Communication Between Members

• All communication between members must be respectful and in keeping with the matrimonial purpose of the Platform
• We reserve the right to monitor communications on the Platform for safety and policy compliance
• We are not responsible for the content of communications between members
• Members who receive inappropriate communications should report them using the in-app reporting feature

6. Membership and Payments

• Basic profile creation and browsing may be available free of charge. Certain features (such as viewing contact details, sending messages, or accessing advanced search) may require a paid membership plan
• All payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the specific plan terms or required by applicable law
• We reserve the right to change membership plans and pricing at any time with reasonable notice
• Auto-renewal of subscriptions will be clearly disclosed at the time of purchase

7. Profile Moderation

We reserve the right to:

• Review, approve, or reject any profile or content submitted to the Platform
• Remove or edit any content that violates these Terms
• Suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice
• Require additional verification documents to confirm identity or profile accuracy

8. Truecaller Authentication

• If you choose to authenticate using Truecaller, you agree to Truecaller's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in addition to ours
• Truecaller login is available only on Android devices with the Truecaller app installed and an active Truecaller account
• We use Truecaller solely for identity verification of your mobile number; we do not access your Truecaller contacts or any other data beyond what you explicitly consent to share

9. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

10. Intellectual Property

• All content, trademarks, logos, and software on the Platform are the property of Sabari Matrimony or its licensors
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any Platform content without our express written permission
• By uploading photos or content to the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content solely for operating the Platform and providing our services

11. Disclaimers

• The accuracy, completeness, or genuineness of any member's profile information
• That use of the Platform will result in a successful matrimonial match
• Uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform
• The conduct or identity of any member you interact with

We strongly encourage all members to conduct their own due diligence, including meeting prospective partners and their families in person, before making any matrimonial decisions.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sabari Matrimony shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to any misrepresentation by another member, any financial loss, or any harm resulting from meetings arranged through the Platform.

13. Safety Guidelines

• Never share financial information, bank account details, or make payments to someone you have met through this Platform
• Meet prospective partners for the first time in public places and with a trusted person present
• Report any suspicious behaviour using the in-app reporting feature or by contacting us directly
• We do not conduct criminal background checks on members; users are encouraged to exercise personal caution

14. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through the app settings
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion
• Upon termination, your profile will no longer be visible to other members

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute amicably.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
